Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home - Sandwich- - Helen T. Krass, 88, of Sandwich, Illinois formerly of Chicago, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. She was born March 5, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Stanley and Tekla Grela. She married Albert Krass on July 27, 1940 in Chicago. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Sandwich Community Hospital several years.

She is survived by one daughter, Josephine Krass of Sandwich, IL; one son, Raymond (Nancy) Krass of Walkerton, IN; three grandchildren, James (Mindy) Krass, Adena (Gary) Crisenbery and Nathan Krass; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Krass; four sisters, Verna Garrett, Lottie Thorsen, Florence Gentile and Josephine Holme.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, IL with Rev. Thomas Brantman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. I am sadden for the loss of my mother-in-law....She was the kindest mother who loved her children....She always wanted PEACE for her family. I pray that Helen will be looking down with a smile as she looks upon Josie and Raymond......We will be looking forward to seeing her someday...We miss you Mom!! Please pray for us......
